Soothwardens Playtest

Soothwardens is a game about playing someone linked to another person by powerful magic, and pursuing a great cause with the gifts the Link awards you. It is about larger than life fights, against monsters both strange and familiar. Monsters who also maintain a Link unto themselves.

It’s a Luckless Game, meaning there are no dice, no cards, and no random outcomes. This game requires you to use two separate intangible-resource trackers, Heart and Stamina, a handful of special traits, and the aspects you gather in the signature weapon of Wardens, the Dirge. Heart is used to fight and defeat monsters called Breakers. Stamina is used to investigate them before you fight them so that you have a chance of defeating them quickly.
