Big updates coming!
After the release of The Corrupted, I was fortunate enough to get introduced to Tony with Plus One Exp. This opened up the opportunity for me to further the develop the game, with the intention of the book going to print for Zine Month 2023! So over the past couple of months, I've been hard at work tuning the game to get it ready for that event. This also means that the PDFs will be updated as well. So there are improvements to the game that will help facility roleplay, immersion, and the overall experience I endeavored to create with the initial release. To avoid necessitating multiple downloads with each update, these updates will land when the final print version is ready. This should be done in the next week or so, but I will outline the changes below.

New rule additions:
A crit success reduces stress by 1
Conflict has been improved. Not only do you have questions to answer in the narrative for each Conflict level, there are now immediate conditions that take place when you reach them. These create dynamic moments in the combat and roleplay that can really ramp up the intensity of certain situations.
Becoming Overwhelmed now comes with a benefit, once you get past it. So you'll see the addition of Survivor's Boons. These are situational bonuses you can take to get an additional +2 on one of your six Attributes. The boon is semi-permanent, and can only be changed after you clear you stress track down to at least 2, and then become overwhelmed again.
"Reactions" were removed, as this mechanic started to feel like complicated book keeping, and stood in the way of smooth gameplay.
"Survival Lite" rules were also removed. It was pointed out to me by another game designer, that this undermined the goal of the the other mechanics I wrote, and changed the game significantly.
Improved GM Threat Points, so that a GM starts out with two Minor Threat points every turn, and can turn to Minor into one Major, so it's not only reliant on critical failures. (GM section)
I increased the lore of Corruption, and added a new Corrupted type (GM section)
I added an additional faction, and increased some of the details of the factions already present. (GM section)
